![]() Nowadays a bayonet costs almost as much as a good gaming PC does, however. To get this knife you either have to open tons of cases (probably not the best idea), trade it on dedicated trading websites or just get enough money to buy it. The classic bayonet was added along with the M9 one with “The Arms Deal” collection back in 2013. The great alternative to a standard knife without any excesses. The classic bayonet knife without the teeth on its back and straight clip point blade. M9 looks similar to the Bowie Knife but with a straight clip point blade and a ring on a handle. Of course you won’t be able to attach it in Counter-Strike, but your enemies will be intimidated by it nonetheless. M9 Bayonet can be attached to rifles such as M16 and that’s how it got its name in-game. Was added to the game during the “Wildfire” operation in 2016. This massive yet elegant knife was an alternative to a gun during duels. It’s appearance is inspired by the times when you had only one shot with your pistol or a rifle and the reloading took a long time. Let’s take a closer look! Bowie Knifeīowie Knife is a powerful cleaver with teeth on its back and a curved clip point blade that has a history and legends about a harsh mercenary’s everyday life behind it. As of 2021, we have access to 19 different knife types along with the basic one. It increases your movement speed and allows you to silently dispatch your opponents. In this article we’ll cover all currently existing knife skins and their history.īy the way, statistics say that the higher a player's rank is, the more often he uses the knife, meaning this weapon is quite underrated among new players. Not everyone can afford one, but every CS:GO player wants to have one in his inventory, something like a butterfly knife or karambit with StatTrak™ to show off your frags. Nowadays the most rare knives have ridiculous prices, costing even more than an apartment in New-York. ![]() Even the knives from back in 2013 are still very popular among the player base and are quite rare. New knife skins are regularly added into the game along with the updates, new operations and cases. It's not like the map would be only surfing and no portaling, but what I had in mind was a unique puzzle that required surfing to gain momentum, etc.Every knife added to CS:GO has it’s real life prototype, history and legends. It seems the only matter "settled" was that the important people here don't care for surfing, and so surfing maps won't be bothered with. Regardless of people's opinions on surf maps or surfing itself I just wanted to know if any maps existed, and if my problem could be solved. Plus, that forum is locked, and you might notice my post had more to it than: "It would be pretty cool if some 1 made a surf map in portal ^^" ![]() Sorry about not finding that old thread, like I said I googled it, but I guess I should've done the forum search I guess I thought since I found nothing on google, there wouldn't be anything here. I admit I didn't expect such a hostile attitude toward surfing. I'm not hoping for a moral victory or flame war so please don't start one. It seems to me, that the other forum got locked because all people were doing is expressing their hate of surfing and surf maps and others accusing them of saying surfing is easy, etc. If a Singleplayer map had a few of these, then but is not dedicated to them then then it can be ok, as long as they are not over used. I'll upload my converted map and post it here once it's done.ĮDIT: Here it is, I screwed up where I put the player start so you have to noclip it in the beginning: So, does anyone who knows more about the physics differences in portal have any ideas? Like maybe some other cvars that could be altered? I messed around with sv_accelerate a little, but that didn't help either. I could ride down a ramp okay, its just that the physics having to do with friction and air control are way different, so I couldn't change my direction on a ramp, or fly through the air very well. I then had to use SourceMod to change sv_airaccelerate to 100, since it's not accessible by normal means in any of the orange box games. Since I know little to nothing about mapping, I decompiled a surf map I had lying around that was modified for TF2 and deleted the team spawns and placed a player spawn and a portal gun. Anyway I googled on the subject to no end and found nothing, so I decided to have a go at it. but in portal where it's single player I think it could be fun combined with the portal dynamic. Has anyone ever considered the idea of surfing in portal? (Like CS:S surf maps) A bunch of CS:S and TF2 players hate surfing and think its retarded and ruins the game, etc. Quote from Dood77 on April 3, 2008, 6:16 pm ![]()
